According to Oaklins – MA Marktberichts Deutschland H1 2024, AUCTUS is by far the most active private equity firm in Germany with 16 completed transactions. AUCTUS maintains this leading position despite the challenging market environment for investment companies and contrary to the current trend in which the number of private equity investors is decreasing compared to strategic buyers, as also reported by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. This decrease in Germany and worldwide is primarily driven by higher financing costs. Particularly in the area of small and medium-sized companies, in which AUCTUS holds a leading position, the market is comparatively stable. While the EUR volume of transactions in Germany dropped – mainly due to fewer large transactions – the consistently high number of smaller transactions completed continues to characterise a solid market environment for participants with strong solutions that meet the challenges in the financing environment, such as the ones provided by AUCTUS.
