AUCTUS forms mindful collection as a new platform for premium wellness and fitness destinations
The transaction
AUCTUS has acquired a majority stake in the newly created mindful collection, bringing together two renowned wellness destinations: Medi Therme Bochum and Asia Therme Korschenbroich. During the past 20 years, both destinations have built a strong reputation for combining expansive spa and sauna environments with high-quality fitness offerings. More than 150,000 guests visit the two locations annually, seeking their unique blend of relaxation, well-being and lifestyle.
Covering more than 47,000 sqm, the two destinations offer an exceptionally broad and immersive wellness and fitness experience:
- Spa & Sauna: More than 20 saunas and over 14 pools per location
- Premium Fitness: Modern fitness facilities designed around a holistic wellness approach
- Food & Services: A curated mix of gastronomy, massage treatments and additional premium services
Both sites enjoy strong brand recognition, consistently high occupancy, and a resilient, highly stable business model.
AUCTUS strategy
AUCTUS will work closely with the management team to further shape the mindful collection into a leading platform for premium wellness and fitness experiences. The focus lies on strengthening the marketing setup — especially across digital channels — creating a seamless customer journey between spa and fitness offerings, and accelerating growth through targeted add-on acquisitions.
Market conditions provide an excellent backdrop: the rising momentum around healthy living, growing awareness of personal well-being, and the long-term trend towards longevity are fueling sustained demand for premium wellness concepts. At the same time, the high investment and space requirements in this segment create natural entry barriers and protect the competitive positioning of established providers.
